How our rattan toys are made
Our rattan wicker range is made from 100% natural rattan, sourced from the tropical regions of Indonesia and Vietnam. The rattan palm is a climbing vine that can grow up to 100 metres long in some species.
After harvesting, the rattan is left to dry out for roughly three weeks, depending on the time of year. Once dried, it is skilfully bent and woven into place. Finally, a fire treatment is applied to minimise any small splinters, ensuring the products are as smooth as possible.
Because our collection is handmade using natural materials, you may notice slight variations in colour or size that enhance the beauty and individuality of each piece. Every item you receive is truly one of a kind—no two pieces are exactly alike.
We work closely with our craftsmen to create beautiful rattan pieces for our customers. Our craftsmen are incredibly skilled, with an equal balance of male and female artisans.
